"Sugar Momma" 1980 Malibu

In February of 2024, we kicked off the Sugar Momma giveaway.

We built this car on the channel with the help of 6Sixty Raceworks who did fabrication work. A Big Block Chevrolet with twin Torqstorm Superchargers made this a 1000hp, to the hubs, Drag and Drive Street Car.

When the winner was chosen and we hopped on a phone call, we were greeted with 82 year old Les. He and his family were so excited to receive the call and were happy to join us in taking the car out for a track day so that Les could get acclimated to the car. After a few passes he was getting faster and faster and took the car home.

Fast forward a few months later, we got a call from Les. Although he was over the top excited to win, he never expected to, and was really more interested in a Street Rod to cruise in (and maybe occasionally race) than a Race Car to occasionally cruise in.  He asked if we wanted to buy it back from him and we jumped at the opportunity. This was such a great car, we couldn't say no. 

Currently my daughter, Katelyn, is driving the car and has completed a few Drag and Drives with my wife. I'm excited to have the whole family racing!
