AA joe Small Block Chevy

Our Engine Builder, Joe Koban, was the owner of this small block. One day he decided to bring it to the shop so he could work on it after hours. As the parts got laid out, we all thought it would make a great video show to our viewers how his "average" small block went together. Thus, the Above Average Joe Small Block began.

After running on the dyno, the engine sat for a few months before Joe realized he really didn't have a need for it, as he doesn't have another vehicle to sport it. It was at that moment that we decided to give it away to one of our viewers.

During the giveaway, many upgrades were done to the engine; from camshaft upgrade, to valve springs, carburetor and intake manifold. Nitrous was also added at the end resulting in the build hitting just shy of 700hp on the engine dyno. (Out of a mostly stock 383 Full Roller)

When the winner was chosen, we could not believe who had won! Justin R. from Colorado, a previous engine customer of ours, was taking home this "above average" SBC! We called him up and he was super pumped to have won the giveaway!
