Hello, and welcome.

Just a brief overview.

I was one of 2 engine builders for Richard Maskin, (Dart Cylinder Heads) Paul Hoskins, (my boss) and myself. I was there during the hey days of Jim Yates NHRA prostock, the years he was sponsored by McDonalds. A wealth of knowledge was learned there for sure.

In 1998 I left Dart and opened Steve Morris Racing Engines, I built just about every kind of engine out there.

In 2003 I started working with ProChargers and things really took off. I started to develop my niche. The business was growing by leaps and bounds and to be honest it was getting right away from me, so in Jan 2007 I sold a majority stake in Steve Morris Racing Engines. I was interested in developing engines, not doing paper work. 2007 was a pretty good year, but by the end of 2008 I had a major falling out with my new partner (the majority share holder) and decided it was best if I left. Some rumors had spread, but when I left I left everything, my tools that I had since college, papers, pencils, all customer contacts, everything!  This was Oct. 3rd 2008.  At this point the owner of my old company changed the name to SMRE Performance. They did change the name and took most all of my name and likeness off the web site, but quite often people thought and think it is still me they were doing business with. It was not. SMRE has now been sold to Precision Power Offshore and is being operated by them. Again I am not associated With SMRE or Precision Power Offshore. Unfortunatly Precision Power Offshore is being dishonest and leading people to believe I am there.

I then decided  in Oct 2008 to change things up a bit and go to work for someone, I had my fill of partnerships. I joined forces with Kyle Kirker and we created New Era Racecraft. I was a employee of New Era Racecraft, Kyle Kirker was and still is the owner of New Era Racecraft. Things went pretty well, but being self employed for all those years the itch came back to be on my own, solely on my own. So Sept 1st 2010 I worked out a deal with Kyle and purchased all the engine equipment from New Era Racecraft. Kyle was and still is doing chassis work and cnc part manufacturing. New Era Racecraft is a separate company.  If you are dealing with NER you are not dealing with me. I do not lend my name to anyone, the only place to find me, and deal with me is only at Steve Morris Engines 231-747-7520 or my cell phone 231-557-8262.  I am not associated with any other company.

I moved into my new shop in Oct 2010 under my car racing name of Morris Motorsports LLC DBA   Steve Morris Engines. I am in the process of building a pretty good crew and business has just been amazing, overwhelming in fact.

I thank all of my loyal customers that have been with me for many years and I look forward to working with all my new customers.

Please feel free to contact me at any time, I can be reached here at the shop 231-747-7520, and as always you can reach me on my cell phone 231-557-8262

Thanks and God Bless!
