The V-30 105A Supercharger is a new compressor, replacing the existing V-24 XB-105, and features a plethora of cutting-edge technology, including its technologically advanced, high-efficiency, 5-Axis machined billet impeller and high-diffusion housing developed in Vortech's in-house SAE-J1723-compliant supercharger test cell.
Built to address the needs of the over 1,000HP racer, the V-30 is a clean sheet design that incorporates many years of racing compressor knowledge. The patented design employs a unique impeller shaft support system that is robust enough to endure the speeds and accelerations associated with high horsepower drag racing and the durability to perform well in the offshore boat-racing world. The modular design allows fitment of a wide range of compressor stages. Another revolutionary feature of the V-30 series is the new Nano-Tolerance Technology (NTT) that allows Vortech to minimize clearances inside the supercharger, without raising the chances of internal component compromise. This further raises the efficiency of what were already the most efficient superchargers available to new, unprecedented levels. What this means to you is less heat, lower IATs, and even more power at the same boost level.
The V-30 Superchargers also benefit from the Diverging Diffusion Technology (DDT) impeller/volute performance system with engine specific tunability. All V-30 series superchargers share a 4.21:1 internal step-up ratio and are engine oil lubricated or an auxiliary system can be fabricated.
The V-30 Enhanced Air Inlet System is designed to work directly in conjunction with gear-drives and other front-facing mounting configurations to allow the V-30 Superchargers increased air induction capacity for each compressor.
The V-30 105A Supercharger is one of the smaller compressors in the V-30 family, yet still delivers well over 1,500HP. The carefully designed housing was made to fit in applications where space is a concern, while delivering twice the power of a typical roots type system.
